3) I am very much obliged by yourletter of yesterday and the information it contains will be very highly appreciated by the parties interested.
I am enclosing for your information an extract from the minutes of a meeting of the local Chamber of Commerce on the 18th January from which you will be able to gather some idea of the local feeling on the matter.
The right of appeal to the Secretary of of Ptate which was referred to at this meeting would,it appears to me,be valueless because no Secretary of State and no advisers of his at this end would be in a position to form any opinion as to the value of the property involved or as to the adequacy or ixxdqTEA inadequacy of the award. I do not see how any Secretary of State could disturb an award once the "udge had made it
